About

I love being in leafy surroundings and in cityscapes. I like to paint strong architectural subjects with engaging geometry and a little mystery. Landscapes also appeal to me, especially since Australian skies are so bright, clear and vivid. I also like to paint portraits, striving to capture the inner qualities of the person. I’m always trying to see below the surface in my art practice.

I received my fine arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I grew up in the USA and later moved to Toronto, Canada. After moving to Australia from Canada, I lived and worked in the richly scenic Snowy Mountains region. Although I currently live in Sydney, I often spend holidays at my extended family’s farm on the far south coast of NSW.

I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where I live and work, the Cammeraygal people of the Eora nation, and pay my respects to their elders, past and present.
